MPC COVID-19 Update (Mar. 2021)

COVID-19 Attendance Guidelines (updated March 2021)

After consulting with our MPC Covid Task Force and identifying best practices from other churches, restaurants and medical offices, we are foregoing onsite temperature checks at MPC prior to services. (We even learned from our Task Force that Mayo Clinic has recently stopped conducting temperature checks at their campus.) In no way, does this indicate that we are relaxing our concerns about Covid risks, just that temperature checks have not proven to be an ongoing best practice. (Since we reopened on August 30, we have not had one person screened away from attending due to a high temperature reading.)

However, we do need everyone attending any event or worship service at MPC to observe the following guidelines:

  1. If you are at risk, or have any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever over 100 degrees, cough or sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell) or have had contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days please worship with us online.
  2. Please wear a mask at all times when inside the building. (Face shields are not acceptable without a mask.)
  3. Social distancing protocols will be in place; your cooperation is appreciated. Smiles and waves, or at most an elbow or fist bump, should replace handshakes and hugs while on campus.

MPC is now offering a custom church online platform while you watch the service live to request private prayer via online chat, as well as share a message with your MPC family in a public chat forum. This feature is available by clicking on the ‘livestream’ tab on the home page of Mandarinpres.com.

The Daily Bread Food Pantry hours of operation are 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday.  Please bring donations to the Mandarin Road Campus; there are carts outside the office entrance Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm, for any CRM or Food Pantry donations. The Food Pantry can accept NO CLOTHING at this time.

Thank you for your continued generosity to MPC.  Anything mailed to the church address (11844 Mandarin Road, Jacksonville FL  32223) is received daily, as is anything dropped off in the Mandarin Road secure mailbox. See giving options HERE.
