This fall MPC is studying the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5-7, one of the most famous passages in the entire Bible. Jesus delivers this sermon early in his career and sets the stage for how his ministry will unfold and how He will want His followers to live. One description of it is the “Manifesto of the King.“ In other words, if you want to be a part of the Kingdom of God, King Jesus is laying out for you what it looks like live as His citizen and ambassador. To be a member of his Kingdom is to be different from any other earthly kingdom or nation and to resist any notion of a lukewarm, apathetic Christian life. It is a sermon that truly comforts the afflicted, and afflicts the comfortable! Join us as we study this powerful message together this fall.
