Upcoming Christmas Activities & Events
Pancakes & Pajamas (December 1st):
Unpack your Christmas jammies and select one of the two seating times (4:30 or 5:30pm). It will be a night full of syrup, sprinkles, pancakes and fun on December 1st in the Fellowship Hall on the Mandarin Road Campus. Kick Off the season of Advent with your family in a fun and meaningful way! This event is free, but requires registration. Click here to register.
Poinsettias (Order by December 15th):
We are offering an opportunity to give poinsettias in memory or honor of loved ones. They will be displayed in the church Christmas Eve. Place your online order here by Sunday, December 15th.
Alternative Gift Market (December 1st, 8th & 15th):
Join our congregation in supporting various missions, both locally and internationally. You can purchase meals for a local family, provide chickens and goats through World Vision, or sponsor a child to attend a Young Life Camp. The possibilities are endless! The Alternative Gift Market will be available in our church lobby on Sundays: December 1st, 8th, and 15th.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing (December 11th-21st):
MPC will be ringing the Salvation Army bells at the Publix at Mandarin Oaks from Wednesday, December 11th - Saturday, December 21st. You can sign up here.
Annual Christmas Music Celebration (December 15th):
Come enjoy an evening of music and scripture at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary on Sunday, December 15th. Hear the Christmas story with special music by the Sanctuary Choir, Concert Band and Handbells!
Blue Christmas Service (December 19th):
Blue Christmas is a gentle, contemplative service for those who are carrying pain or loss during this season of celebration. The Blue Christmas service is Thursday, December 19th at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall on the Mandarin Road Campus. Childcare is available with RSVP to Wendy Greer.
Christmas Eve Services (December 24th):
We would love to have you join us for one of our three services! Whether you join us in person or via our livestream, it will be a special time. And don't worry about your little ones - we've got childcare covered for kids in Kindergarten and younger ages during all services. Activity bags will be provided for older kids during the 7 and 9 pm services.
Here are our service times:
4:30pm - Family & Children's Celebration of Christmas with live Nativity
Our family service is designed with kids in mind! There will be music, video, interactive elements, and live animals in our outside nativity. As you arrive, everyone will receive props to participate in telling the Christmas story and glowsticks for our ending “candlelight” song.
7:00pm - Candlelight & Communion Christmas Message, music by the Worship Team
Our contemporary service will feature a variety of joyful Christmas music, an inspiring and relevant message, followed by communion and candle lighting to conclude the service.
9:00pm - Candlelight & Communion Christmas Message, music by the Sanctuary Choir & Concert Band
Our traditional service will have Christmas music led by our full choir and band. There will be an inspiring and relevant message, followed by communion and candle lighting at the end of the night, that will leave you filled with joy and hope.
